did you ever see Narc? This movie is largely the same, down to the major plot points of Liotta’s character. Total ripoff, and Hatosy has some real chunky gravy dialogue to choke on.

That scene where he’s questioning the wife of the slain officer – his lines are so obviously a first draft (and a STRAIGHT UP LIFT from Narc) that they must’ve TRIED to make it terrible. Perhaps they felt they had to remove the subtlety to avoid a lawsuit from Joe Carnahan.

One day there will be a James Ellroy-like epic crime story set against the backdrop of 30 years of corruption and institutional failure that buried the city of Detroit. For now us Motor City fans will have to settle for it as the go-to backdrop for Urban Apocalypse and Axel Foley.

Sheldon Lettich just confirmed that Van Damme will be playing a villian in The Expendables 2. The Kamsing match has been postponed till 2012 or it may never happen.
