"KEEP BUSTIN'."

Tony Jaa Tony Jaa Tony Jaa

You guys remember when Tony Jaa couldn’t even finish ONG BAK 2, and then he disappeared into the jungle for a while, and then later he quit the film industry and became a monk? Well, he changed his mind. We got him in a small role in FURIOUS 7 next week, and then we got the sequel to SPL (or KILL ZONE as the Weinsteins call it) to look forward to:

To be honest I don’t remember that much about KILL ZONE other than that I liked it and that it had Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung, who are not in this one. But it has Wu Jing and Simon Yam and Louis Koo from DRUG WAR and it looks up my alley as far as fighting and camerawork.

Of course that’s a Hong Kong trailer. It’ll be a while before we get it. But remember there’s also Tony Jaa with Dolph and MJW and Ron Perlman in our near future:

  1. I am really looking forward to SKIN TRADE. Dat cast! Ron Perlman sticks out though. I don´t know why. Maybe because he isn´t as known as a physical action guy like the others.

  2. Knox Harrington

Yeah, there hasn’t been any good DTV stuff on my radar for a long time now. And I can’t remember the last time Vern reviewed something that truly stood out. Hell, the last really great one was probably UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: DAY OF RECKONING or NINJA 2.

I’m ready for something awesome again.

  3. Gary Daniels has SKIN TRAFFIK coming out. Maybe Vern could review it?

  4. Let´s not forget we also have CLOSE RANGE to look forward to. Scott Adkins IS Colton MacReady. What a fucking great name that is.

  5. I would advise against Vern reviewing Skin Traffik. Really struggled to get through it. Considering the great B Movie cast, its really poor and quite amateurish. Looks really cheap, and this is one I was actually looking forward to.

  6. Are you referring to the Eric Roberts/Mickey Rourke flick? SKIN TRAFFIK is an entirely different movie.

  7. I was referring to Felix’ comment about Vern reviewing Skin Traffik which stars Gary Daniels, Eric Roberts and Mickey Rourke which is terrible. Maybe you are thinking of Skin Trade which is due out soon and stars Dolph Lundgren and Tony Jaa.
